Gus (he/him) is an empathetic, thorough, and culturally sensitive registered psychologist (clinical psychology registrar) who creates supportive alliances with gender diverse children, adolescents, families, and adults to navigate complex situations such as gender dysphoria, transitions, co-occurring presentations, and relational challenges, among other gender and sexology issues.
Gus takes a holistic approach in his work, prioritising the person as a whole and their well-being. Working collaboratively, he tailors treatment to meet individual needs using a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Problem-solving therapy, Trauma-informed interventions, Mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches.
Gus possesses expertise in working across cultures and with a broad range of people, including sexually and identity diverse individuals, neurodiverse minds, differently abled individuals, and people living with neurodevelopmental conditions or traumatic life experiences.
Gus offers psychological therapy in English and Spanish.
Dr James Morandini is the clinic director, and provides a rangepsychological services to children, adolescents, and adults. Heprovides specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management ofchildhood and adolescent gender dysphoria. He also providesassessment and diagnosis for gender dysphoria in adults and canprovide WPATH medical letters where appropriate. James also has afocus on matters of sexual orientation, including overcoming shame,relationship difficulties, and exploring identity confusion. Morebroadly James utilises CBT, DBT, and Schema Therapy in treatingmood and anxiety issues, as well as personality disorders.
