Fabian is a warm, sincere and empathetic psychologist who undertook his training in Germany, attaining a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Dusseldorf. He also completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at ACU in Sydney.

Fabian is passionate about gender-affirming therapy with a focus on exploratory depth work, collaborative problem solving and an integrative approach to fit the client’s needs, tailoring techniques borrowed from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Fabian is committed to individualise his evidence-based therapy with the goal to empower his clients with discover and affirm their true, authentic selves. Fabian’s work often focusses on enhancing client’s ability to tolerate uncertainty, challenge unhelpful thinking and work in a multimodal framework to improve the client’s wellbeing.  Being client-led and person-centred allows Fabian to address each individual client’s unique challenges.

Fabian studied in Germany, Finland and Australia. His international experienceequipped him with a substantial amount of intercultural competence, patienceand open-mindedness – all of which have become core pillars of his therapeuticrelationship with his clients.

Dr James Morandini
Clinic Director

Dr James Morandini is the clinic director, and provides a rangepsychological services to children, adolescents, and adults. Heprovides specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management ofchildhood and adolescent gender dysphoria. He also providesassessment and diagnosis for gender dysphoria in adults and canprovide WPATH medical letters where appropriate. James also has afocus on matters of sexual orientation, including overcoming shame,relationship difficulties, and exploring identity confusion. Morebroadly James utilises CBT, DBT, and Schema Therapy in treatingmood and anxiety issues, as well as personality disorders.
